When I think about the futures, I also think about technology. Sometimes I dream about flying cars, more robot friends to talk to and drones that deliver my packages.
We all know that technology makes a lot of fun things possible already, but what could the futures of technology bring? Let’s see!
Technology is a big part of human life. Once a friend of mine even said that technology is the thing that makes humans, human. Let’s think about that for a second. Why would he say that? A lot of the knowledge and abilities that people have today are thanks to technology! Technology made sure people evolved differently than other animals. Without our ability to think and without the help of technology we wouldn’t have been able to make fire, houses, cars, lightbulbs or even your beloved smartphones. So, thanks to technology, you get a life filled with all these luxuries that other animals don’t have!
A lot has changed thanks to technology! Think about it: People are able to have a warm house because of heating, you are able to send pictures to your friends because of cameras and people are able to cook and eat warm food because of gas and electricity! Back in the day all these things weren’t even possible! When we go back 12.000 years from now, people only had fire to cook with and some little huts without windows to sleep in.
Technology drives progress, by inventing new technologies we get the opportunity to try new things all the time. Humanity evolved because of all of these inventions. Without technology humans wouldn’t be anywhere near where they are today! But technology will bring so much more than we already see right now. It is constantly emerging and bringing new opportunities. This is what I want to talk with you about! What new technologies are emerging right now and how could these influence the futures?
