[METASTABLE] is a dark, heavy music project built around the emotional pressure of living in unstable times. The name comes from a state that is not simply unstable, but only barely stable — held together by a small margin, always close to rupture. That tension defines the project: a world that still functions, systems that still hold, people who still move, even as everything feels under pressure. The sound is raw and human: live drums, detuned bass, abrasive guitars, cold synth textures and a close, gritty male vocal that sounds more pressured than polished. The songs move between industrial metal, post-punk, grunge and doom atmosphere. They are heavy, tense and direct — but never escapist. This is music about what it feels like when certainty starts to fail, but collapse has not yet arrived.
ABOUT
[METASTABLE] turns future anxiety, system pressure and broken expectations into dark, physical songs. This is not music about the end of the world. It is music about the strain of living inside systems that still function, while the belief that they will keep holding begins to crack. The project began as a hybrid studio project: human-led songwriting, AI-assisted demo exploration, and a clear ambition to build a coherent body of heavy music that can grow into full studio recordings and live performance. At the centre is one voice: raw, close, intelligible, strained. Around it: drums that feel human, bass that moves the floor, guitars that scrape and press, and cold electronic textures underneath like signals, machinery or failing infrastructure. The songs are not written to explain the world. They are written to make pressure audible.

Dark industrial post-punk/grunge-metal. Raw live drums. Detuned bass. Abrasive guitars. Cold synths and noise. Close, gritty male vocals. Negative space. No glossy finish. The band’s sound is heavy, but not built around technical display. It is built around tension, weight, clarity and belief. The music should feel like a human band trying to stay alive inside a system that keeps tightening.
LYRICS
The lyrics are direct, concrete and sung in English. They deal with future anxiety, uncertainty, inherited promises, climate dread, social pressure, anticipation, responsibility and the strange feeling that the world is changing faster than people can name it. The songs do not offer easy hope. They do not preach. They do not tell the listener what to think. The point is not to predict the future. The point is to change how it feels.

The project is looking for collaborators who can help turn raw demos into release-ready tracks while preserving the core identity: dark, heavy, human, intelligent and emotionally direct. Possible collaborations include production, mixing, live arrangement, session musicians, visual identity, release strategy and label support The ambition is to build a distinctive heavy music project with long-term artistic potential — not a one-off experiment.
